A journey through the Sahara desert...

Story to be continued...

bialettiI've done some journeys in my life, like driving through the Sahara desert, crossing rivers of Iceland without a bridge on a motorbike, hiking in Norway or Sweden, crossing Tibet on the way to Nepal. Food was sometimes good, sometimes horrible and sometimes not every day available. But I never minded as long as I got coffee. For that reason I always carry an original Italian Bialetti espresso machine and a package of real Italian coffee with me. To cook it I mostly used a petrol burner or gas camping burner.

And, it's even healthy. At least this says an article published at the webpage of John Hopkins Medicine Org.

“Caffeine is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about coffee. But coffee also contains antioxidants and other active substances that may reduce internal inflammation and protect against disease,” says Diane Vizthum, M.S., R.D., research nutritionist for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine." Why should anyone buy a vinyl player in the times of streaming, YouTube, or other suppliers of music. Where you get music directly onto your mobile phone or other devices. Because it is a bit like a washing machine? You could sit in front of it and watch it turn. You even could put your coffee mug on the record and while it turns you'd see it even stirs the sugar without a spoon. Well, you also could listen to its music, but for this, remember, you've got your streaming tools. Don't forget! So, what is it all about record players: they are cool, they are smart, they are even cooler than you'll ever be. So, get one as long as you are alive!

"If it's sounds French it's wrong"
            Pascal Lally, Galway

Pascal was my English teacher in Ireland at Bridge Mill's in Galway. He was a brilliant teacher and so was his wife Miriam. We had a lot of fun those days. And one day told me if I want to know whether a sentence is right or not there is a simple answer to it: if it sounds French, it's wrong.  Miriam and Pascal made me successfully do some certificates in English I probably not entirely deserved... A big thank you to both of you!
